Texas officials are warning fishermen to stay in United States waters on Falcon Lake due to problems with suspected drug cartel members instead of crossing the border, an invisible but patrolled line in the middle of the lake, to fish on the Mexico side.
Three groups of anglers recently were approached on the water by boaters armed with rifles. They were seeking drugs and money, and robbed the anglers. One of the incidents occurred on the United States side of the lake.
