TTBC activities and events

CONROE, Texas – The 2010 Toyota Texas Bass Classic will feature the big stars and big fish that fans have become accustomed to during the annual event, while offering a variety of fan activities for the whole family.

Admission

Tickets to the Toyota Texas Bass Classic are $15 in advance and are available for any one day Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2 – 3.  Daily tickets include grounds access and admission to live concerts held at the event venue each day. Concerts and other ticketed events, including tournament weigh-ins, interactive expo areas, fireworks shows and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Adventures Area, will take place at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center’s Festival Grounds in Conroe.

Children 17 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. All active military, police, fire and EMS personnel are admitted free with valid identification.

Fans can buy tickets online and print them at home through the event’s website, www.toyotatexasbassclassic.com. Tickets are also available until Friday, Oct. 1 at any H-E-B store in the state of Texas or any Houston-area Academy Sports + Outdoors store.

World-class bass fishing

The world championship of professional bass fishing, the Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) is a three-day tournament held on Lake Conroe, Oct. 1-3. The TTBC’s 50-angler field combines the top PAA anglers from the FLW Tour, Bassmaster Elite Series and PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series presented by Carrot Stix.

Concerts headlined by Blake Shelton and Montgomery Gentry

Top country music acts Montgomery Gentry and Blake Shelton will headline two days of concerts held at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center. Evan Williams Bourbon will present performances on Saturday, Oct. 2, featuring Academy of Country Music Award winner Blake Shelton and Tracy Lawrence. Montgomery Gentry will perform on Sunday, Oct. 3. Emerging country artist Jeff Allen will open for Montgomery Gentry on Sunday.

Food & Drink

Enjoy a wide variety of food and drink offerings including food from Johnsonville Brats, Holmes Smokehouse, Marble Slab Creamery, and the traditional favorites at our many concessions stands. Adults can relax and unwind in the Evan Williams Bourbon Barrel tents while taking in the great entertainment.

Allstate Safety Weekend

Allstate Boat Insurance is sponsoring Allstate Safety Weekend at the Toyota Texas Bass Classic, Oct. 2 -3. Local Allstate Agents will be at the TTBC gates Saturday and Sunday to distribute free life jackets to children 12 and under while supplies last.

Boat launch free each day at Papa’s On the Lake

Fans can attend boat launches for free each morning of the Toyota Texas Bass Classic, Friday – Sunday at Papa’s On the Lake. Boat launches run each day from 7-8:30 a.m. Fans can also see Friday’s weigh-in at Papa’s from 5-6:30 p.m.

Ride with a Legend

It’s clean. It’s simple. And it’s the baddest rough water boat in existence. The Alpha 211 defines the tournament bass boat. Fireworks

Cavender’s Boot City will present the Cavender’s Fireworks extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 2, following the conclusion of the Blake Shelton concert. TTBC will also present a Fireworks Finale on Sunday, Oct. 3 following the conclusion of the Montgomery Gentry concert.

Fishing Seminars

Stop by the Academy Sports + Outdoors Expo area at the TTBC to see some Texas-sized bass and learn tips and techniques from the best anglers in the world.  There will also be a casting pond to test out some of the latest and greatest fishing tackle.

Toyota Drive Center

This event is part of a nationwide series of events that provide consumers with a hands‐on opportunity to experience Toyota’s safety, durability and quality while engaging with several vehicles in the 2011 lineup. A unique off-road course has been designed specifically for the TTBC to showcase the Toyota lineup to fans in attendance.

Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Outdoor Adventures Area

There will be plenty of family fun during the Toyota Texas Bass Classic at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Outdoor Adventures Area. Located at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, the Outdoor Adventures Area features fun and games for the whole family and emphasizes the TPWD’s youth fishing programs.

Tournament functions are operated by the Professional Anglers Association with technical assistance and support from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Inland Fisheries Division.     All the activities look great… seeing Rose walk away with the prize on Sunday will be the highlight !! By the way, why don’t ya’ll cover Rose on the media.. the man is awesome !!
