Fifty of the nation’s best professional anglers will compete in the inaugural Bass Pro Shops PAA All Star Series event on Lake Ray Hubbard, a no-entry fee tournament featuring the top pros from the 2010 PAA Tournament Series season and other invited anglers.
Invited anglers include the top 44 pros, Legends finisher and PAA Angler of the Year from the 2010 PAA Tournament Series point standings, the 2010 Bassmaster Classic and Forrest Wood Cup champions, and the 2010 Bassmaster Elite Series and FLW Tour Anglers of the Year.
The full field will compete for two days on Lake Ray Hubbard, with the top 12 advancing to the final day. Weigh-ins will be held each day at Bass Pro Shops in Garland, which is located on the lake just off Interstate 30.
Lake Ray Hubbard, formerly known as Forney Lake, has approximately 22,745 acres and a maximum depth of 40 feet. The lake has numerous shallow embayments, some timber and stump fields, and various vegetation. Construction of the dam was begun in 1964 and the two-mile earthen dam was completed in 1969. Impoundment began in 1968 and the lake was filled within two years.
